Westmoreland Beaded Edge Plain 2 8 1/4″ Luncheon Coupe Plates Excellent
Westmoreland made this pattern from the late 1930’s to the 1950’s.  It is great to use when an understated look is desired. Or the opposite striking effect is achieved when paired with black or a bright color. Westmoreland also decorated this pattern with a variety of bird and flower designs. The plain pattern is great to use with the decorated designs. It also works great as a charger or underplate for colored etched glass patterns that do not show up otherwise.  Most of the plates are marked on the underside with the Westmoreland “W” mark.
This listing is for 2 plates of the rimless coupe style..
These plates are the coupe (rimless) luncheon plates. Westmoreland made a rimmed luncheon plate as well and it is nearly the same size. The last 2 photos show a comparison of the rim plate with the coupe (rimless) plate. I no longer have the rim plates in that size. Be sure you are bidding on the type of plate you want.
The plates are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or other damage. The plates are approximately 8 1/4″ and heavy.

I rarely describe vintage china & glassware as perfect since it will acquire some use marks even from sitting on a shelf for most of its life. Vintage china & glassware may also have small bubbles, mold seams and marks that are inherent in the making of the item. I try to describe any issues that I consider more than average wear and certainly will point out any damage that I find. If nothing is noted it means the item does not have any damage, but it may have very minor use wear and the normal manufacturing conditions. I try to point out even minor items that I notice.

I pack everything with great care.  I use recycled material when I can, but mainly have to buy bubble wrap and peanuts. Your shipping cost is shown in the auction listing before you bid and is based on the shipping rates from my home to yours as computed by the eBay shipping calculator.  All of my items are unique. I weigh each item and then add one or two pounds for the estimated weight of the box and packing material. The shipping calculator is usually very close
to the actual amount of the shipping.
I inspect items carefully for any damage and try to describe the auction items clearly and accurately.  I will gladly refund your bid price if an item differs significantly from my description.  Items must be returned within 30 days of receipt to receive a refund.  Please contact me if you have any problems with my auction item.
